Service Above Self

The heart of Rotary is the motto,"Service Above Self"

The Four-Way Test

The Four-Way Test, followed by Rotarians worldwide in their business and professional life, was created by Rotarian Herbert J. Taylor in 1932. It has since been translated into more than 100 languages.

Club History

The Abbotsford-Sumas Rotary Club was sponsored by both the Abbotsford and Abbotsford-Matsqui Clubs. The God Fathers (Sponsoring Rotarians) were Don Funk and Moe Gill. The first meeting was held in Sumas, USA March 27, 1996 and the second meeting was in Abbotsford, Canada April 3, 1996. We then received the club charter May 17, 1996 with our founding president, Bill Fowle.
