Lydia Akuffo, the RYLA 2026 award recipient writes: "Hello! My name is Lydia Akuffo, and I am an eighteen-year-old university student. I will be beginning my second year at the University of the Fraser Valley, where I am pursuing a Biology Degree. In high school, I served as my high school’s Key Club president in grades 11 and 12, where I led students to participate in many volunteer opportunities and raise funds for multiple non-profit organizations. As someone who is always looking for ways to be involved in the community and make new connections, attending the 2026 Rotary Youth Leadership Awards (RYLA 2026) was a highlight for me as I met many new people and made new connections with members of different service clubs, including the Abbotsford Rotaract Club."
